This is my favorite chocolate place, period. These aren't truffles, they are bite sized candies, I just pop 'em in my mouth whole. The peanut butter and jelly is my absolute favorite. Also, their drinking chocolate is to die for. I don't live in CA anymore, but every time I go back, I plan on hitting up Chocolatier Blue. Anecdotally, I got an Easter Egg for my girl from this place. It was sooo beautiful. Even had an extra hidden chocolate inside. The guy is an artist, pure and simple.

Chocolatier Blue has my favorite chocolate in the world! Each truffle is a miniature work of art and has a unique, often seasonal flavor. I guess you could call chocolatier Chris Blue an indie version of Wille Wonka. If you're more inclined towards pure dark chocolate, Alegio Chocolaté is pretty close by and will certainly fulfill your needs. But if, like me, you prefer a more playful bent to your confectionary, you'd best come here and get an 18-box.

Perfection! I was given a sample of the passion fruit-caramel chocolate and my god! I walked out with a box of 10 pieces, which my husband and I devoured in one sitting. I live 2 hours away but I'm thinking of relocating.

This place is so awesome. I've never seen such beautiful chocolate in my life. It's like an anime come alive. The finish is so smooth and shiny, even to the touch it looks and feels like a plastic display but the actual quality of the chocolate is amazing. I'm no chocolate connoisseur but the flavor is strong without being overbearing and texture is smooth after the initial snap of the outer finish. We were also given a free sample each! I got the chili one as a sample and my throat was burning it had such a kick I stayed down after . It was really good but I think I'll stick to normal flavors haha. We got 5 for $13, which is a steal considering we also got a sample each. Embarrassingly enough we didn't realize the empty middle walk through is so you can go to the other side and purchase their other items, you don't have to walk out to go to the other side. we looked ridiculous. I guess they used to sell ice cream but they've decided to focus on chocolates. They still have pies though! This was a great place to get after dinner chocolates/ dessert.

What a random location for a high quality chocolate shop. We stumbled upon it completely by accident, but I'm so glad we did! We bought 6 peices, without the box. The chocolate itself is so delicate, yet somehow perfectly constructed into little bits of heaven filled with sticky and sweet goodness. 😉 passion fruit - my absolute favorite, I could probably eat half a dozen of these alone! And in the shape of a heart, which is beyond adorable rasberry - with dark chocolate, no brainer lime - really smooth and perfectly tart apricot - might be the least intersesting, though still tasty, was like biting into a chocolate covered dried apricot. pistachio - I didn't bother trying this one. One should not mix such an awful nut with chocolate, but I hear it was quite tasty 🙂 hazelnut - very delicate Give them a try, you'll be glad you did!

Their hot chocolate is really special. It's also a great place to be inspired by unique flavors, such as the Highland Fling - scotch and vermouth with orange bitters and olive oil. Or buttered popcorn and champagne. Seriously, it's hard not to buy a 30-piece box here.

This place is amazing! The best chocolate I have had in my life. My husband and I visited from Mississippi and ended up eating here every day we were here. The man who runs it is so nice and we really enjoyed our visits. Definitely recommend!

I love Chocolatier Blue. Their chocolates are not only pretty, but they taste SO good too! I first had them 1.5years ago, and I fell in love the moment I tasted them. My favorite is Palet d'or - the dark chocolate kind. I love everything from its appearance, the feeling when I get when I first bite into it, as well as the deep after taste. I'm a fan of dark chocolate rather than milk, so maybe that's why - if you're not into dark chocolate, you might want to try other ones. Espresso is also good, so is the Passion Fruit Caramel. It's definitely more expensive than ordinary confectionery you can find at supermarkets, but trust me - It's worth it. They also have a shop down at 4th street, in berkeley. I think they sell ice creams at the 4th street location - I haven't tried it, but I look forward to trying them tomorrow when I go!

Beautiful and delicious atrtisnal chocolates. Thank you Chris for the samples before we bought a box! My daughter especially enjoyed her sample and convinced me to buy a few more. These chocolates are unique, sweet and savory. Wonderful for a special occasion or a gift.
